Application for Study Abroad in WiSe 2026/27

Dear Students,

We will gladly accept your applications for a semester/year abroad in the winter semester 2026/2027 beginning December, 1.

Application period: 01.12.2025 – 05.01.2026

Requirements

1. 1. 1. Please note the admission requirements that must be met in order to start a year/semester abroad: IB (PO 2021), BWL/WPS/WI
      2. Double check that you meet the requirements of our partner university (e.g. language requirements and in some cases also a certain average grade)
      3. Please indicate in your application three partner universities you are interested in.
      4. Each student can only be nominated at one partner university.

Procedure

1. Log in to Open OLAT. If you have not registered there yet, please follow the instructions in the attachment. Please use your university email address and username so we can allocate your application to you.
2. Fill out the registration form in the course „Business School – Study Abroad Application WiSe 2026/27“.
3. In the beginning of February, we will inform you at which partner university we will be able to nominate you. We will make every effort to consider your priorities.
4. Nominations to partner universities will be made by the business faculty, between March and May, depending on the nomination periods of the partner university.
   We will contact you individually and go through the application procedure with you. Therefore, please check your university email account regularly!  
5. After your nomination you will receive information from the partner university on how to submit your application documents.

Partner Universities

An overview of all partner universities as well as students’ experience reports can be found on the Business School’s homepage.

At many partner universities, studying in English is very possible, e.g. at the:

• Izmir University of Economics Turkey
• Universidad de Navarra or Universidad de las Baleares Spain
• Universita degli studi di Parma Italy
• BINUS University Indonesia
• Universidad Anahuac Xalapa Mexico
• and many others!

IB students staying in Trier
International students, who are studying with a visa or residence permit in Germany, have the possibility to spend the compulsory IB year abroad at Hochschule Trier. The students must choose courses from the German degree program "Betriebswirtschaftslehre" (B2 German certificate required!). You must fill out the application form as well and indicate Hochschule Trier for the partner university.
