You don't want to spend your stay abroad at one of our partner universities? Are you interested in a stay in Australia, India or Argentina, for example, where we do not yet have any cooperation agreements? Then you can apply to universities worldwide as a so-called "free mover".
Depending on the chosen foreign university, regular tuition fees and usually additional administrative fees will apply. Please make sure to inform yourself early with the respective foreign university about the costs involved as well as potential funding opportunities for your stay abroad.
In doing so, however, you must ensure that the institution in question is recognised as a higher education institution in its own country, and is also considered a higher education institution in Germany. Information on this can be found in the anabin database of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs in the Federal Republic of Germany. Possible higher education institutions have the status "H+" here.
Note: Students enrolled in the International Business program cannot go abroad as freemovers during their mandatory year abroad; they must choose a partner university from the Department of Business.
All prerequisites for the various study abroad options offered by the department apply analogously to free-movers. In addition, you must meet the admission requirements of the host university.
