Research Data Management for Doctoral Researchers

In this seminar will take place on 12th and 13th of November 2026 from 9:00 to 12:30

The following aspects of quality assured research data management (RDM) will be covered:

• Basic concepts an benefits of RDM
• (Inter-)National players of RDM
• File Management
• Documentation
• RDM and Early Career Planning (including Data Publishing)
• Regulatory Framework
• Research Ethics in RDM

The seminar consists of a basic part and a discipline specific part.

 The seminar is part of the qualification program of the newly established doctoral clusters „Applied Informatics“, Biomedical & Environmental Life Sciences“ and „Sustainable Systems and Technologies“. For doctoral candidates that graduate within one of the clusters, one-time participation in the RDM-seminar is mandatory. The seminar will be offered in regular intervals.

Doctoral researchers who graduate cooperatively are welcome to participate as well. Vacant places will be offered to doctoral candidates of the universities.
