In April, the research team led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Biesdorf from the Business Informatics department participated in the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, one of the most prestigious conferences in the field.
During the conference, Tobias Böhm and Jens Tien presented findings from the GreenCode research project, which is being carried out in cooperation with the industry partner Euroports. Their presentation focused on a model-driven approach to modernizing legacy software systems — a highly relevant topic that attracted considerable interest within the international research community.
Beyond the academic program, the conference also provided numerous opportunities for networking and exchange with researchers from around the world. The unique atmosphere and the many inspiring conversations once again highlighted the importance of international conferences as platforms for sharing ideas and advancing collaborative research initiatives.
Conferences such as ICSE make an important contribution to addressing current challenges in software engineering and driving forward innovative solutions through international collaboration.
