Exciting Insights into Luxembourg’s Financial World

Last Tuesday, the students had the special opportunity to gain a direct look into Luxembourg’s finance and fund industry. On the initiative of Prof. Dr. Michael Hahn and Prof. Dr. Matthias Weimann, the Business School welcomed the Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds d’Investissement (ALFI) to Lecture Hall 3 at Trier University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to ALFI, key players in the sector presented their work. Luxembourg for Finance (LFF) as well as companies such as Bayern Invest, DWS, Deloitte, Arendt, FERI, and PwC offered fascinating insights into current developments, international interconnections, and career prospects in one of Europe’s most important financial regions.

The students showed great interest and made extensive use of the Q&A sessions following the presentations to learn more about career paths, industry trends, challenges, and the personal experiences of the experts.

A subsequent open networking session, accompanied by coffee and light refreshments, provided the opportunity to speak directly with the company representatives—an offer many participants gladly accepted to ask further questions and establish initial professional contacts.
