Information on the introduction of an oral defense of the thesis in all degree programs at the Trier Business School

The Business School has initiated an amendment regulation regarding the introduction of an oral defense of the written thesis in all degree programs at the Business School.  This amendment regulation will be submitted to the relevant Senate Committee for Studies and Teaching for approval in October.

For the examination regulations listed in the amendment (PO 2024 BW/BW dual, PO 2024 WI/WI dual, PO 2023 WiPsy, PO 2022 MA Business Management, PO 2021 IB), it is planned to supplement the written thesis with an oral defense of the thesis. The written thesis and its oral defense are to constitute a single examination for which a single grade will be awarded.

This planned amendment to the examination regulations in the Business School is still subject to approval. As soon as approval is granted, we will inform you of the date of implementation, as well as of the specific format and procedure for the defense.
