Departmental first semester welcome WS 2023/2024

Dear first semester students (IB) in the winter semester 2023/24,

Welcome to the Business School at Trier University of Applied Sciences.

As new students, you certainly have many very special questions.

On the following pages, we would like to give you general and concrete answers for a successful start into your first university semester (see links at the bottom).

We also look forward to welcoming you in person before your studies really get underway.
(Attention: First semester students (Bachelor) have their first lectures starting 05.10.23.) 

Monday, 02.10.23:

• 10:00 a.m.: Welcome speech by the IB-programme manager Prof. Henzler in lecture hall 3
• afterwards (approx. 11:00 a.m.): "Study Buddy" programme 
  • introduction to university online systems/schedules (~ 1 hour)
  • campus tour (~ 1 hour)
  • city tour to get to know each other
    Conclusion at the "Coyote Cafe" in Trier city centre

Wednesday, 04.10.23

• 11:00 a.m.: Welcome by the President of the Trier University of Applied Sciences in the Aula
• 02:00 p.m.: Workshop for International Students and IB Students (in English)
  with IB coordinator Mrs. Schätz-Al Mahamid and programme director Prof. Henzler in lecture hall 2.
  (How are your studies at our Business School structured? And how can you organise your studies well from the beginning? What expectations do your lecturers and professors have of you? And what expectations do you have of your studies? In this workshop you will receive important tips for successful studies at Trier University of Applied Sciences and have the opportunity to work out strategies for successful studies with other students).

On 12.10.23 there will also be a party for new students at the "Forum" club in Trier city centre.
