Fees & Conditions

Workshop Fee

1 Workshop = 625 €

(students = 475 € *)

2 Workshops = 1.100 € *

(students = 800 € *) 

*exception: on the workshop CUT, GRIND, POLISH with Alexander Friedrich there is no discount.

The workshop fee covers the cost of:

  • Participation in a course with instruction and supervision by a qualified artist. 
  • Use of studio and equipment during class hours.
  • Attendance at various in-house events organised by the International Summer Academy.

The fee does not cover the cost of:

  • necessary materials,
  • excursions,
  • travel or accommodation.

Courses may be booked only for their full duration.

Conditions for registration

Cancellation

In case of cancellation by applicant: 

  • after issueing the invoice, an administrative fee of 50 € will be retained/charged,
  • between 8 weeks and 4 weeks before the beginning of the workshop, 25 % of the workshop fee will be retained,
  • within 4 weeks before the beginning of the workshop, 50 % of the workshop fee will be retained.

When the Summer Academy has begun, no refund will take place. 

Cancellation by ISA can take place:

  • if a course is not booked with the minimal number of participants,
  • if a course cannot be offered because of force majeure.

Force Majeure

Besides the above mentioned, a refund of a participant fee will be made at any time

  • in cases of force majeure for the applicant (illness, accident, death in family), cancellation should be notified immediately, with written proof of the reasons for cancellation,
  • in cases a course cannot take place. 

Other reasons (dissatisfaction, programme changes) do not entitle to any refund.

Security measures & INSURANCE

Applicants must be aware that allergenic substances, such as oil-paints may be used in classes. Every attendant must be responsible for their own health needs. Entrance to the International Summer Academy premises is restricted to participants, teachers and members of ISA staff. Other visitors have access to classes only after checking in at the office and must be accompanied by ISA staff. Exceptions to having visitors are during the open-house presentations.

ISA is not liable for accidents, theft or any kind of damage which take place during the course. The participant is advised to provide personal health, travel and liability insurance.

Disclaimer

ISA is not responsible for traveling or accommodation costs paid by the applicant. Please take care of your own travel insurance.

By sending the registration form you agree with the above.

COVID-19 information

The Summer Academy will take place under the  Corona-Restrictions.
We expect the restrictions to be resolved around the 20th of March, but for now it is as stated below.
If the restrictions mentioned are changed we will show information here - so, visit and check again by the end of March!

momentary restrictions:

  • you need to be at least 2x vaccinated and show an additional max. 24 h negative test result,

  • you do not need an extra test if you:

    • have recovered max 3 months prior to the symposium,

    • are 2x vaccinated within 3 months prior to the symposium,

    • are 3x vaccinated (boostered),

  • You need to wear a face-mask in the university.

Please note: none vaccinated, not-recovered persons will not have access to the symposium.
