Six pupils from the area were able to try their hand at cutting gemstones.

As in previous years, the Boys' Day took place at the Design Campus on April 25. After the Idar-Oberstein campus was unable to take part last year due to the fire in summer 2022, this year Boys' Day was offered again in the new building in Saarstrasse. Six pupils between the ages of 10 and 14 visited the Campus for Gemstones and Jewellery. Levan Jishkariani, head of the gemstone workshop, provided the boys with stones from the stone storage and gave them an introduction to the cutting, engraving and polishing machines. The boys were able to be creative in the stone workshop all day. During the lunch break, the barbecue was fired up and sausages were provided for the participants.

The boys took home the stones that they worked on at the school as souvenirs.
