Natascha Frechen, Julia Obermaier and Stephie Morawetz have been nominated for the prestigious Amberif Design Award 2025. The international competition honours innovative artistic works with Baltic amber and focuses on the idea and expressiveness of the designs.

The Amberif Design Award (ADA) is an internationally recognised competition that has been promoting innovative approaches to the artistic use of Baltic amber for 28 years. Organised annually under a new thematic focus, the competition is aimed at artists worldwide and focuses on the conceptual strength and expressiveness of the submitted works. An international jury of experts, consisting of renowned jewellery artists, historians and curators, evaluates the entries, which are exhibited and awarded prizes at the AMBERIF trade fair.

We are particularly pleased that three of our graduates have been nominated for the Amberif Design Award this year and their works are going to be exhibited: Natascha Frechen, Julia Obermaier and Stephie Morawetz. Their nomination emphasises the artistic quality and international relevance of the education at our university.
