Art in the Park at Namedy Castle "Humans & Nature in Coexistence"

As part of the annual "Art in the Park" project at Namedy Castle in Andernach, an interdisciplinary group of students led by Prof. Anna Bulanda-Pantalacci conceived and realised installations, objects and LandArt artworks in the castle park.

Art in the Park at Namedy Castle
27.06. - 03.07.2022 "Humans & Nature in Coexistence".

The cooperation between project leader Prof. Anna Bulanda-Pantalacci and Heide Prinzessin von Hohenzollern has existed for several years, it is a project of the heart of both parties. The exhibition of the students' works has no time limit: the artworks remain permanently and become part of the palace park over time through weathering and overgrowth.

This year again, some students were given the opportunity to build their art installations in the palace park and enjoy the hospitality of the von Hohenzollern family.

Unlike in previous years, the projects were not prepared for a long time and materials were not purchased, but were spontaneously developed on site under the theme "Man and Nature in Coexistence" using the natural resources available there and, as the name suggests, erected in harmony with nature.

Since the beginning of the project series, Heide, Princess of Hohenzollern, has emphasised how much nature is close to her heart and that for her it is part of the work of art when nature slowly reclaims its place. This will happen more quickly and completely with this year's project.

The project was funded by the Stiftung Marienburg/Foundation de Luxembourg.
