Looking Back: Pre-Bachelor's Week 2026/27

Every winter semester begins with Pre-Bachelor Week for new first-year students. This year, about 70 students kicked off a week full of new encounters, fresh impressions, and initial insights into structural engineering.

The program included a walking tour of the city, an architectural scavenger hunt, and a bridge-building competition. As part of the impromptu competition, the students were able to develop, implement, and practically test their own initial ideas for structural systems. In addition to gaining technical insights, the main focus was on getting to know one another. The first week thus provided an opportunity to network, get creative together, and gain an initial introduction to structural engineering.
