Long Night of Gemstones in Idar-Oberstein

Experience the magic of gemstones and be enchanted by Idar-Oberstein! At the "Long Night of Gemstones", you can expect sparkling pieces of jewellery, exciting insights into the art of craftsmanship and a varied programme - the perfect evening for everyone who loves the world of gemstones.

The "Long Night of Gemstones" will take place for the third time in Idar-Oberstein on 12 April 2025 - an event that brings the world of gemstones and jewellery to life in all its diversity and fascination. From 7 p.m. to midnight, special places in the jewellery and gemstone sector will open their doors and offer free access to numerous events.

The opening of the "Long Night of Gemstones" will be celebrated at the Jakob Bengel Industrial Monument, a long-standing cooperation partner of the Gemstone and Jewellery Campus. Supported by the German Gemstone Queen Vivian Heidrich and experts Heide Rezepa-Zabel and Julian Schmitz-Avila, guests can expect an exciting start to the event. Afterwards, a shuttle bus will ensure a comfortable journey to the other locations - which can of course also be reached on foot or by car.

At the Gemstone and Jewellery Campus, you will have the opportunity to visit the university's workshops, talk to students and marvel at exciting final projects. Food and drink will also be provided: enjoy a barbecue from the Schwenk grill and refreshing drinks in a unique atmosphere.

Parallel to the "Long Night of Gemstones", 21 jewellery and gemstone workshops will be opening their doors to interested visitors on 12 and 13 April. Among them are graduates of the Gemstone and Jewellery Campus: Esther Ackermann, Adam & Stoffel, Simone Drechsel, Karin Drochner, Tanja Falkenhayner von Emmert Design, Natascha Frechen, Kerstin Kavalirek und Jennifer Sauer. A wonderful opportunity to experience the diversity and creativity of the jewellery and gemstone industry up close.

Don't miss this unique event - look forward to an evening full of glamour, knowledge and exciting impressions!
