We congratulate our master’s graduate Félicia Kocher who was named one of eight international graduates to receive the prestigious Marzee Graduate Prize 2026. The award honors outstanding thesis projects and is considered one of the most important recognitions for emerging artists in contemporary jewelry.
This year's Marzee Graduate Show, now in its 40th year, features a total of six graduates from the “Gemstones and Jewelry” program at Trier University of Applied Sciences' Idar-Oberstein campus: Laura Sophia Herrlich, Félicia Kocher, Gülçe Kulaç, Kristina Neumann, Selen Özus and Flóra Valéria Szöllősi-Cira. Their works reflect the diverse artistic approaches and individual perspectives that characterize contemporary jewelry.
The six artists explore personal memories, cultural identity, everyday experiences, and interpersonal relationships. In doing so, they combine traditional craftsmanship with experimental materials and forms of expression. Their jewelry and objects tell stories, challenge familiar notions of jewelry, and open up new perspectives on the relationship between material, the body, and personal experience.
Each year, Galerie Marzee honors some of the most promising recent graduates with the Marzee Graduate Prize. The winners receive an invitation to a one-week residency at the Ravary estate in Belgium, which provides them with the space to further develop their artistic practice.
We are particularly pleased about Félicia Kocher’s award and congratulate all six graduates on their participation in this internationally significant exhibition.
The Marzee Graduate Show 2026 opened on September 12, 2026, and will be on view through November 17, 2026, at the Marzee Gallery in Nijmegen, Netherlands.
