Our BFA students have the special opportunity to participate in the "Bling It" project for two semesters. In cooperation with the local company Effgen Lapport Schleiftechnik / Günter Effgen GmbH, they have access to waste materials from the production of diamond tools and have the opportunity to transfer the manufacturing techniques into a creative context. The aim is to develop jewellery that clearly shows the students' attitude towards urban mining and the production and use of synthetic diamonds.
Sofie Boons has developed and is supervising the project "Bling it" as part of her Ph.D. research.
