Architecture students win ICOMOS competition 2019.

Under the theme "1960 plus - Pleas for the Preservation of Underground and Traffic Facilities in the Post-War Period", students from eight universities examined projects between 1961 and 1989, focusing on a critical inventory of the monument projects and a discussion of solutions for their preservation.

Two of the five equivalent prizes went to the Trier University of Applied Sciences. Ina Leinenweber examined the H-Bahn in Dortmund, while Ines Streit and Catherina Meyer dealt with the Bonn Stadtbahn and analysed the Heussallee/Museumsmeile stop. The work was supervised by Prof. Oskar Spital-Frenking.

The award ceremony took place on the 13th of November in the rooms of the Berlin Chamber of Architects. On the following day, all prizewinners presented their researched projects in short speeches at the HTW Berlin. Afterwards the exhibition of all submitted projects was opened and could be visited.
