Physiotherapy (dual B.Sc.)

Since the 2014/2015 winter term, the Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the physiotherapy schools at the Barmherzige Brüder Hospital in Trier and the Catholic Clinic in Koblenz-Montabaur, has been offering the dual, training-integrated Bachelor’s degree programme in ‘Physiotherapy’ at Trier University of Applied Sciences. Since 2015, we have also been collaborating with the School of Physiotherapy at the Eifel-Mosel Training Centre for Health and Social Care Professions in Wittlich, since 2016 with the School of Physiotherapy at the Nardini Klinikum St. Johannis in Landstuhl and the School of Physiotherapy at MEDISCHULEN in Trier, and since 2019 with the School of Physiotherapy at the Saarland University Hospital in Homburg. In the winter term of 2025/2026, we will begin our partnership with the School of Physiotherapy at the Westpfalz-Klinikum.

The combination of vocational training and university study enables you to obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree alongside a recognised vocational qualification. This dual, training-integrated Bachelor’s programme equips you with the ability to apply the knowledge you have acquired in your profession, to independently identify, analyse and solve problems using scientific methods, and to work in an interdisciplinary and problem-oriented manner, taking the patient’s needs into account.

The degree programme equips you to practise your profession independently, in a scientifically grounded and reflective manner. It teaches you methods for evaluating your therapeutic interventions in the interests of quality assurance, based on evidence-based practice. It also equips you with the skills necessary for lifelong learning.

The programme is offered exclusively in German.
