Computer Science (B.Sc.)

Computer Science is the science of the systematic and automated processing and management of information on digital computers. It permeates almost every aspect of our social and professional lives. It is precisely this diversity that opens up many future-proof and varied career paths in business and industry for well-trained computer scientists.

The primary aim of the Bachelor’s degree programme in ‘Computer Science’ is to train well-rounded computer scientists for professional practice. The compulsory modules cover a correspondingly broad range of subject areas, whilst a large number of optional modules allow for individual specialisation. In each subject area, both the fundamentals and specialised methods of computer science are taught at an academic level. Upon completion of their studies, graduates will have acquired a timeless body of background knowledge that enables them to acquire further or currently required specialist knowledge.

A further aim is to prepare students wishing to pursue further qualifications to continue their education with a Master’s degree programme in Computer Science.

The programme is offered exclusively in German.
