Study Abroad

Dear students,

We would like to encourage you to spend a semester of your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree abroad. Many students before you have already taken this path and, as well as broadening their academic skills, have also gained an understanding of the language and culture of their host country. For most of them, the experience of living in a foreign country and engaging with a different culture has also helped them grow significantly as individuals.

The final two semesters of both Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are ideal for this. During this time, you can take courses at foreign universities that fit into your degree programme in terms of content and scope. You can also carry out your project or dissertation in collaboration with the relevant partner institution.

Information events on study abroad programmes for interested students in the Department of Computer Science are held annually in December in collaboration with the International Office. Announcements are made via email. At these events, you will be informed about opportunities for studying abroad, partner universities, funding, organisational matters, the recognition of credits, deadlines and the further procedure. Students must submit an informal application to the Department’s International Officer. Applications are assessed by the department’s professors, and a selection is made. Students will be informed of their nomination shortly after the application deadline at the end of January.
