Former Exams

To prepare yourselves in the best way possible, the student representatives of departments offer a comprehensive collection of former or previous exams for your perusal. Some student representatives offer these online, others only on paper. For more details ask at the student representation of your department. Links to the respective representations can be found on the website of the AStA.

Students who are faced with taxing situations or difficulties in personal matters and seek help can turn to the psycho-social support office. Student administrative service (Studienservice)

Student administrative service (Studienservice)

You can find the central point of enquiry for all things concerning your studies at the University of Applied Sciences Trier on the campus Schneidershof. On the ground floor of building G you are welcomed by the staff of the student administrative service. In our office students, prospective students and applicants can find all relevant service offers in one place. This includes administrative services, registration services and general course guidance.

The student administrative service is comprised of three teams which each take care of specific courses (watch out for the colour coding). This means that students will have regular contact persons throughout their time of study. You can find important forms and information on current events and examination regulations on our website.

Responsibilities:

  • Registration and de-registration for exams
Students are expected to register for all exams, even repeated exams, in the QIS-System within the published cut-off periods autonomously! Should you not be able to participate in an exam due to an illness, you are required to provide a sick note together with the designated form within the statutory period (official medical certificate where required). Registrations outside the cut-off periods are not possible! No participation in exams without registration for exams!

  • Suspension
Students, who for important reasons cannot participate in their designated courses, can be suspended on request. An application for suspension must be handed in before the cut-off period of registration has come to an end.

  • Forms
Forms for de-registration, change of course, submission of sick notes as well as suspension and many other forms can be found on the website of the student administrative service.

  • Exam matters
The registration service offers advice on all matters concerning exams (registration, de-registration, repeated exams, etc.), information on examination regulations, acceptance of recognition applications (first mandatory internship and advanced internship, grades, work placement), acceptance of sick notes, acceptance of applications to the examination boards, advice on planed internal change of course, issuing of certificates of non-objection when changing universities, de-registration of graduates, administration of grades on the student administrative system QIS/POS including counting of attempted exams and issuing of notification and issuing of graduation certificates.
The responsibilities of the staff are divided by courses.
  • Change of course
A change of course is only possible if sufficient creditable grades have been provided so that admittance into a higher semester is possible. Elaborate advice before the change of course is offered in the student administration office. Should a change into a higher semester not be possible you have to apply for the desired course through the online application form of the university.

  • Examination regulations
In the “publicus”, the internal administrative print-publication of the university, you can find all valid examination regulations of the University of Applied Sciences Trier.
