Friedrich Becker Prize 2023 finalists

Congratulations to Nikita Kavryzhkin (MFA 2022), Jiun-You Ou (MFA 2018), Sonia Pibernat (MFA 2018) and Edu Tarin (MFA 2015), finalists of the renowned Friedrich Becker Prize 2023!

 

Since 1999, the Gesellschaft für Goldschmiedekunst e.V. has been commemorating the outstanding goldsmith and designer of kinetic objects, Professor Friedrich Becker (1922-1997), by awarding the Friedrich Becker Prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, funded by the foundation of Hildegard Becker (1928-2018) in Düsseldorf. The Friedrich Becker Prize Düsseldorf is awarded every three years for outstanding independent design of the highest quality of execution. 129 artists from 21 countries competed for the Friedrich Becker Prize 2023 with jewellery and small objects.

In addition to the works of the prize-winner Norman Weber, further submissions by 42 artists which have been selected by the jury will be shown in the two exhibitions, Stadtmuseum Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf (6 to 30 May 2023) and Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus Hanau (6 June to 9 July 2023).
