A cooperative study programme will offer you the opportunity to efficiently combine theoretical and practical training.

Direct link between theoretical knowledge and practical skills
Apprenticeship-Integrated Academic Degree Programmes:
- two officially recognized professional qualifications
- shortened total duration for gaining both qualifications in comparison to an apprenticeship followed by a traditional study course
Fincancial security due to training allowance paid by the cooperating company
Gain and expand Soft Skills and Hard Skills: in addition to gaining professional competence, personal, social and methodological skills are being acquired and developed
Likelihood of being taken on by the cooperating company
Excellent job and career chances
Advantages in the labour market compared to graduates of conventional courses of studies as a sound practical experience is already available at graduating

In order to apply for a cooperative study course you need:

a Higher Education Entrance Qualification
and
a signed indenture or internship contract with a cooperating partner/ practice partner

In a first step people interested in taking up a cooperative study course directly apply to one of our practice partners or alternatively propose a company that would be interested in becoming a cooperating partner of Trier University of Applied Sciences. We will check if a cooperation is possible.
In a second step you apply for the cooperative study course at the TUAS. Please take into account deadlines that need to be complied with and specific requirements and conditions of the respective degree programme.

Admission to a Bachelor's programmes, which is offered in a cooperative form, is also possible for persons who have acquired the school-based part of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (/Fachhochschulreife). In this case, in addition to the certificate of the school-based part of the Fachhochschulreife, proof of the completed first year of training must be provided in the form of the professional training contract. Further information on the university entrance qualification can be obtained from the Study Service.
