TATOUAGE

Special exhibition during the Design and Culture Days at the Junge Kunst Galerie Trier.

Students of the Department of Design at Trier University of Applied Sciences show new interpretations of surface design on the theme of tattoo. Inspired by tattoo styles, new interpretations of surface design were created. Craft techniques were experimentally developed in parallel with current design and new technologies in the form of digital print and laser cut. Presented was the result of a variety of individual, expressive interpretations on multilayered skin-colored skirts.

The second semester's dress variations were photographed and staged by Amsterdam-based photographer Svenja Kaufmann.
