Entrepreneurs often fail to recognize the opportunities offered by networking in the Greater Region during the start-up and development phase. That is why the project "Platform for entrepreneurs and students of universities in the Greater Region (PUSH.GR)" has set itself the goal of enabling sustainable cross-border cooperation in the establishment and networking of companies. In this way, new cooperation partners, markets and customers can be developed within the Greater Region and the EU.

The first pillar of the project is raising awareness of the foundation. With the help of best practice start-up initiatives, students and those interested in starting a business should be made aware of the career option of starting a business. These success stories are collected by the founding office in Trier and the founding office in Kaiserslautern and are intended to serve as the basis for communication measures in the entire Greater Region. In addition, innovative ideas or project collaborations in the Greater Region are rewarded by a new PUSH.GR start-up competition. This is being developed by the htw saar.

However, the project is not only about communicating the potential and chances of founding a company in the Greater Region, but also about providing assistance in overcoming national obstacles and the peculiarities of the different countries. The Trier University of Applied Sciences (Prof. Dr. Hubert, Prof. Dr. Nitschmann) will research and provide the legal and fiscal framework conditions of the respective national states in the Greater Region. The University of Liège will show which financing options are available to young entrepreneurs and founders in the Greater Region.

All these elements are developed and published on an innovative, appealing and trilingual (German-French-English) communication platform. The online platform is developed by the Dudweiler company Eurokey Software GmbH and is considered the central core of the PUSH.GR project. In addition to a freely accessible area for all interested target groups, there will also be a data-protected user area. Here, individual companies can get in touch with each other, exchange information about their activities, successes and partners. Through cross-border mediation and matchmaking formats such as business speed dating, impulse lectures and cooperation agreements, the University of Saarland and the INTERFACES - Founding Center EURODEV CENTER located in Forbach will ensure close cooperation between startups, scaleups and SMEs and the young and established companies in the Greater Region.
