Greenoak building concepts with high-tech methods

A research trip to the University of Bath was aimed at scientific exchange with colleagues from the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The focus was on topics of sustainable construction, wood research and  resource minimisation. The trip took place from May 20 to 25, 2022, together with our research partner from the University of Applied Sciences Mainz.

International Workshop Series

International workshop series and awarding of the Friede-Gard-Prize togehter with the internationally known economist Prof. Steve Keen in the Department of Environmental Economics and Law. Prof. Steve Keen, PhD an internationally known economist, has been an outstanding critic of mainstream neoclassical-neoliberal economics and one of the few economists to predict the 2008 financial crisis using, among other things, his system dynamics software MINSKY.

„BlendED“ Blended Mobility Educational Program

BlendEd is an international cooperation of 17 institutes and departments from different universities worldwide. Each year, international student teams are challenged by a company with a real-world problem to develop an innovative, interdisciplinary project.

International Summer School - Disaster Risk Reduction

From July 9th to July 15th, 2023, 16 students from eight different nations gathered at Trier University‘s Environmental Campus Birkenfeld to address the management of natural disasters.

Green Campus

The virtual project was integrated into the language courses French B1 at the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld and German as a Foreign Language B1 at ENSISA and ENSCmu in Mulhouse and INSA in Toulouse, respectively. The project centered around the question, "How can we make our universities more sustainable places"?
