SMART TEXTILES, FASHION TECH & WEARABLES

Bachelor & Master

The world of fashion is in a constant process of evolution. Traditional techniques meet advanced innovations. The invention of the loom, the sewing machine, the sequin fabric, the computer.... All these innovations brought fashion forward, opened new possibilities and form a complement to traditional techniques.

More and more innovations are finding their way into clothing. Heatable coats, the use of light in clothing or networking with GPS systems in accessories... New concepts for optimized working and manufacturing methods are in demand, while at the same time questions of sustainability have to be answered innovatively and changes in consumer needs have to be taken into account. Experimentation is about developing new possibilities in fashion design.

  • Free experimentation with innovative possibilities in the design of clothing
  • Interdisciplinary projects
  • Examination of traditional and innovative techniques
  • Development of innovative prototypes
