In the HAW.International funding line of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Trier University of Applied Sciences was able to convince with four project applications and gain further impetus for internationalisation. The project "Graduate International Research Opportunities (GIRO)" will receive funding up to 500,000 EUR in 2024 and 2025. The project aims at internationalising doctoral structures, drawing on a strong network of university and practice partners in Germany and abroad.
German and international doctoral candidates are qualified for the international academic and non-academic labor market in early career phases and trained competitively in a strong international network of university and practice partners.
Trier University of Applied Sciences improves the structural and institutional framework conditions for international doctoral support by strengthening internationalisation competencies in the areas of academia, research management and science communication. In this way, Trier University of Applied Sciences will increase its international visibility and attractiveness for German and international doctoral candidates in the long term.
