Medical Engineering Cooperative Study Programme (B.Sc.)

New technological developments are making collaboration between doctors and engineers increasingly important. Medical progress also demands innovative solutions and improved procedures in diagnostics and therapy in the field of medical technology. Medical technology companies, hospitals and research institutes increasingly require specialists with an engineering and medical background.

The medical technology degree (dual) offers an interdisciplinary education based on technical and scientific study content and supplemented by medical knowledge of physiological processes in the human body. Students learn to develop and use electrotechnical devices, including software, in order to optimize the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. A further aim is to become familiar with and master the approval procedures for the use of medical devices on humans. This enables graduates to carry out and design all development stages of medical devices.

A vivid combination of theory and practice - this is what the dual study program in medical technology offers. It combines a well-founded engineering degree with practical training or practical phases in a company and provides excellent qualifications for a successful and varied professional future. The dual study program offers companies the opportunity to recruit highly qualified and motivated employees and retain them at an early stage. Students gain intensive insights into company structures and processes right from the start and establish important contact networks. A secure income also enables financial independence during their studies.
