Staff Mobility Outgoing

General Information

University staff can take part in trainings at universities abroad. These trainings can be financed through the ERASMUS+ programme STT (Staff Mobility / Staff Training).

The aim is to get to know the institutions, offers and developments at the host university and to exchange ideas with colleagues from other countries.

Many universities offer so-called Staff Mobility Weeks. These are ready-made programmes offered by a partner university. The topic is usually internationalization in general; some Staff Weeks have a specific topic for employees from certain areas of administration (e.g. student services, IT services).

General information can be found here: DAAD Staff Mobility

Prerequisites

Employees who wish to apply for ERASMUS+ funding must be employed at Trier University of Applied Sciences.

The training must be approved and supported by the superior.

The stay abroad must last at least 2 working days. Formally, stays of up to 2 months are possible within the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme. Due to the limited funds, however, a maximum of one week's stays can be funded.

You should have a sufficient knowledge of the program language (usually English).

Financing

The programme offers reimbursement of travel and accomodation expenses up to a maximum rate of EU funding per destination country. The flat-rate scholarship allowance for travel costs is between 180 and 560 €, depending on the distance. Depending on the destination country, the flat-rate scholarship allowance for accomodation costs is between €100 and €160 per day. As a rule, however, travel and accommodation costs are covered by the Erasmus grant. In accordance with the "Landesreisekostengesetz", the actual costs determine the settlement.

Employees who have a disability can apply for special funds.
