2 Graduates from Idar-Oberstein Selected for Schmuck in Munich

A total of 762 goldsmiths from 58 different countries around the globe have applied to take part in the coveted special Schmuck 2019, organized into the Handwerk & Design exhibition, at Handwerk&Design Munich.

William Faulkner (MFA 2016) and Jiun-You Ou (MFA 2018), two graduates from the Gemstone and Jewellery Department of Idar-Oberstein are selected to exhibit their works at the special show Schmuck, during the internationally renowed Handwerk & Design Fair in Munich.

The selection of Schmuck 2019 juxtaposes works by well-known and renowned makers with young exhibitors. 65 applicants from 22 countries were chosen to participate in the exhibition for the year 2019.

The special “Schmuck” exhibition is widely considered an important platform for those hoping to make a name for themselves in the international goldsmith world, make new contacts and not lastly attend the award ceremony for the renowned Herbert-Hofmann-Prizes on the last day of the fair, March 15 at 5 p.m.
