EU Research Advisory and Coordination Office

Trier University of Applied Sciences is strong in third-party funding and successful in EU research. In 2018, the university raised around 8 million euros in third-party funds. In order to continue to successfully participate in the funding programmes of the European Union and to support researchers in the acquisition and administration of funding, the EU Research Advisory and Coordination Office was set up as a central unit.

Initially, the office was financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the funding period of two years (2014-2016) through a successful application in the EU Strategy FH programme. The BMBF approved an extension of the START project until September 2020. The START concept aims to make it easier for students and researchers at Trier University of Applied Sciences to enter and apply for EU programmes.

Do you have an exciting research idea, European partners on board and are you considering research funding through the EU programme Horizon 2020 or one of the other structural funding programmes such as INTERREG? Would you like individual advice on your research idea? Do you need help deciding which call is the right one for your project? Support with the administrative and technical handling of the project is welcome?

Then contact the EU Research Advisory and Coordination Office immediately!
