Hochschule Trier International: Global Innovation for Sustainable Futures

About

Trier University of Applied Sciences successfully applied with three projects for funding in the funding line "HAW.International"  of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). With these projects, Trier University of Applied Sciences will promote the institution's internationalization for the next four years.

In the project "Hochschule Trier International: Global Innovation for Sustainable Futures", which will be funded between 2022 and 2025 with a funding volume of almost 1 million euros, Trier University of Applied Sciences is linking the three future topics of internationalisation, digitalisation, and sustainability. Nine transnational model projects are being implemented in cooperation with 12 foreign partner universities, tackling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and combining virtual project work with short-term physical mobilty.

Our project objectives are:

  • expanding the proportion of English-language teaching related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • qualifying students for the international job and research market as global citizens and change agents for sustainability
  • systematically strengthening digitalisation and sustainability as a driver for internationalisation processes in all areas of the university
