Study Service on the Campus of Design

Study Service on the Campus of Design

In our office (Building Q, Room 13) at the Irminenfreihof, students, prospective students and applicants will find all essential services in one place. The services offered include the Student Secretariat, the Examination Office and general study counselling. The study service is divided into three work teams, each of which is assigned to specific courses of study. This means that students always have a permanent contact person during their studies.

The Schneidershof campus is the central contact point for all matters concerning studying at Trier University of Applied Sciences. On the ground floor of building G you will be welcomed by the staff of the study service. In our office, students, prospective students and applicants will find all essential services in one place.  The services offered include the Student Secretariat, the Examination Office and general study counselling.
The Study Service is divided into three working teams, each of which is assigned to specific courses of study (colour coding). Thus, students always have a permanent contact person during their studies. Important forms, information on current events and examination regulations are available on our homepage.

Responsibilities of the Study Service:

  • Exmatriculation
    Cancellation of enrolment is possible on application (please note: retroactive exmatriculation is not possible!). Graduates are exmatriculated ex officio at the end of the semester in which they completed their studies.
  • Re-registration
    With the re-registration, the student declares that he/she wishes to continue his/her studies in the coming semester. To do so, he or she simply has to transfer the currently valid student fee within the re-registration period.
  • Student Card
    The student card must be collected personally from the Student Services at the beginning of the course. The ID card is also your semester ticket. A loss should be urgently reported to the Student Services Department and a new chip card can be applied for for a corresponding fee.
  • Academic Leave
    Students who are unable to attend the courses required to achieve the study objective in a semester for important reasons can be granted leave of absence on application. A leave of absence must be applied for by the end of the re-registration period.
  • Examination Matters

    The consultation of the examination office includes all questions concerning examinations (registration and deregistration regulations, repeat examinations, etc.). Information on examination regulations, acceptance of applications for recognition (basic and specialised internship, performance, practical study phase / practical semester), acceptance of sick leave, acceptance of applications to examination boards, advice on planned internal changes of study programme, preparation of certificates of no objection when changing universities, de-registration of graduates, administration of grades in the student administration system QIS/POS with performance of the test count and issuing of notifications, preparation of examination certificates and documents. The responsibilities of the administrative staff are divided according to degree programmes.

  • Recognition of Achievements
    If you have earned credits at a domestic or foreign university, you can apply for recognition of these credits. You will find a description of the recognition procedure and the relevant contact person on the homepage of the Study Service.

International Office at the Campus of Design

The International Office is responsible for the supervision of study and further education projects, internships abroad with the corresponding financing possibilities as well as for foreign students. In addition, the International Office is responsible for promoting international cooperation between universities.
The representative of the International Office at Campus Gestaltung is Mr Berndt Werner.
The office is located in building Q (Irminenfraihof) in room 12.

Career Service at the Campus of Design

Career Service at the Campus of Design

The Career Service offers students and graduates personal advice on all career-related issues as well as qualifying offers from the portfolio of the Federal Employment Agency.
Furthermore, the Career Service organizes certified events on interdisciplinary key qualifications and arranges contacts in companies through the company contact fair and job exchange: Internships, theses and jobs - regional, national and international.
