After the fire at the Idar-Oberstein campus in Vollmersbachstraße in July 2022, the winter semester 2022/2023 successfully started. The welcome of the new students and the semester presentations were held inside a former school gym in Idar. From November 2022, the Department of Gemstones and Jewellery will be hosted in the Nahehaus in Oberstein until the coming summer semester, when it will move to the former Zerfass leather goods factory, where all the workshops and other rooms such as the library will be set up in the meantime.
