Helena Renner and Miriam Strake receive nomination for the Campus Gestaltung Nachhaltigkeitspreis

For their semester project "ENCOUNTER I", Helena Renner and Miriam Strake, both students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Gemstone and Jewellery, received a nomination for the Campus Gestaltung 2022 Nachhaltigkeitspreis.

The Nachhaltigkeitspreis has been awarded annually since 2022 for outstanding student work with a focus on sustainability.

Encounter I is a process-oriented installation in the urban space. As part of the initiative "Triers kleinster Hörsaal" (Trier's smallest lecture hall), the two students, supervised by Prof. Eva-Maria Kollischan, transformed a former kiosk on the main market square in Trier with packaging materials in June 2022 and integrated passers-by into the action.

In the second phase of the project, a publication was created from the photo and video material created during the installation. Encounter II, which was printed using the sustainable Risoprint process and bound by hand, is in the running for the next Sustainability Award.
