Based on personal experiences with body perception, shame and social ideals of beauty, Renner negotiates the tensions between external gaze and internal experience in her sculptural and installative works. Created between 2021 and 2025, her body-related objects, wall works and textile interventions deal with feminist body politics. She uses materials and forms that seek proximity to the body in order to visualize and question social norms. The exhibition provides an intimate insight into an artistic oeuvre that deals with questions of self-acceptance, identity and visibility both analytically and emotionally - and invites visitors to renegotiate their own view of the body.
