Design Talk - S(t)ein oder nicht sein

LithoMania | Design Lab #11 is a special exhibition of the Design Lab series of the Kunstgewerbemuseum der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin – Preußischer Kulturbesitz in cooperation with the Trier University of Applied Sciences, Department of Gemstones and Jewelry in Idar-Oberstein. The special exhibition LithoMania is dedicated to the theme of stone - a complex material full of contradictions.

The Kunstgewerbemuseum der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin invites you to the Design Talk „S(t)ein oder nicht sein“.

The speakers are:

•  Dr. Claudia Banz, Design Curator, Kunstgewerbemuseum der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin Preußischer Kulturbesitz
•  Lothar Lambacher, Deputy Director and Chief Custos Middle Ages, Kunstgewerbemuseum der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin Preußischer Kulturbesitz
• Amir Nawrozzadeh, Gemmologist, Idar-Oberstein
• Prof. Theo Smeets, jewellery artist, Head of the Department of Gemstones and Jewellery, Idar-Oberstein

The lectures will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition and a book presentation with Dirk Allgaier, head of Arnoldsche Art Publishers. The whole event will be held in German.
