This unique event has become a fixture in the diaries of jewellery lovers from all over Germany. At the small ‘get-togethers’ held in the workshops, you have the opportunity to chat with the designers and discover the individual styles of both traditional and experimental working methods. You can try on the pieces, learn how they are made and even buy them. Individual designer jewellery meets traditional craftsmanship, and each workshop has its own distinctive signature.
Graduates Tatjana Giorgadse and Levan Jishkariani are opening the doors of the “Römerhaus”, where their workshops are located, for the first time. Many other graduates from the Gemstone and Jewellery Campus are also taking part in the open workshops: Natascha Frechen, Esther Ackermann, Kerstin Kavalirek (feinwerkk), Simone Drechsel, Claudia Adam und Jörg Stoffel (adam&stoffel), Jennifer Sauer (Anderswelten), Gaby Wandscher, Tanja Falkenhayner (Emmert Design) and Carmen Hauser.
The workshops are open on 28 and 29 March from 10 am to 7 pm, free of charge and with no need to book in advance. For more information, visit offene-werkstätten-idar-oberstein.de
