Sustainable

The Environmental Campus Birkenfeld with its zeroemission concept is Germany‘s greenest campus. Sustainability, whether socially, economically or ecologically oriented, is taught in most courses of study. The Sustainability Council is the university‘s governance instrumention. Its own climate protection concept identifies urgent measures. Because: first we can do something for ourselves and our future. Most research projects address aspects of sustainability such as resource efficiency.

Digitalized

AI solutions are our answer to automation and optimization questions from industry and business and from Trier University itself. One university, three campuses

Main Campus Schneidershof

The main campus Schneidershof is home to the departments of Civil and Supply Engineering + Food Technology, Computer Science, Engineering and Business School. Its location impresses with direct access to the Weißhauswald forest and a beautiful panoramic view of the Moselle and Trier's city centre on the opposite riverbank.

Environmental Campus Birkenfeld

Germany's greenest university (according to the Green Metric Ranking) is located in the middle of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park and is part of Trier University of Applied Sciences. At the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld, around 2,300 people study technology, computer science, law and business administration with a sustainability focus.

Campus for Design and Art

The Department of Design combines the disciplines of architecture, intermedia design, interior design, fashion design and communication design at Paulusplatz and Irminenfreihof in Trier's city centre. Gemstone and jewellery is taught in the well-known gemstone city of Idar-Oberstein.
